“Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for that one person.”– Helen Barry
That quote has always stayed close to my heart. I’ve loved helping others for as long as I can remember, especially children.
Whether it’s through small acts of kindness, volunteering, or being part of school and community clubs, I’ve always looked for ways to give back and be involved. As I’ve grown, I’ve realized that I want to take the opportunities and resources I have and use them to help people not just in my community, but around the world. That passion inspired me to create Global Girls for Change with a group of friends who cared to make an impact just as I did. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself, something that could truly uplift others and have a positive impact.
When we started building the vision for Global Girls for Change, I felt a strong connection to the villages in Uganda. The strength, optimism, and stories of the people there moved me deeply, and I knew in my heart that it was the right place to begin.
