Emilia M. Hall

Senior, Saratoga High School Class of 2026

During my visit to Uganda, I met a young girl who had traveled to a city just to learn English by watching TV so she could speak with someone like me. That moment opened my eyes to the privileges I had taken for granted—and sparked the idea for Global Girls for Change.

Emilia Hall is a student, athlete, and community volunteer whose leadership and compassion extend from her hometown of Saratoga Springs, New York, to communities across the world. Inspired by her volunteer experience in Jinja, Uganda—where she worked in a local medical clinic and school—Emilia founded Global Girls for Change to empower girls through education, opportunity, and connection.

At Saratoga Springs High School, Emilia is active in numerous clubs including the school newspaper, where she serves as treasurer, Best Buddies, and Unified Sports. She combines her love of teamwork with service, coaching youth field hockey and mentoring younger athletes to build confidence and perseverance.

Emilia’s research interests also reflect her curiosity and empathy—she is currently conducting a mixed-method study on Cultural Considerations in Adolescent Mental Health in Uganda, exploring how cultural beliefs shape access to care and awareness among young people.

A two-time Suburban Council Field Hockey All-Star, Emilia will continue her athletic and academic journey at Hamilton College, where she will play field hockey while pursuing her passion for global health and service.

She believes that small acts of awareness can ignite large movements of change—and through Global Girls for Change, she hopes to help girls everywhere find their voice and their path forward.

When you give, you’re giving more than money — you’re giving opportunity.

Across Uganda’s villages, every girl carries a dream — to go to school, to learn, to thrive.
