Abby Collins

Senior, Saratoga High School Class of 2026

Hi! My name is Abby Collins and I am one of the cofounders of Global Girls for Change. Growing up, I was raised to give. It didn’t matter if it was donating to a shelter or a birthday present but generosity has always been one of the biggest values in my life.

I make a goal for myself to share at least one act of kindness every day. No matter how large or small the gesture is, it always has an impact. Generosity not only makes others feel happy but it also is proven to make the person giving feel happy, which is why I strive to always find ways to share with the world.

When first starting Global Girls for Change with my friends, I was introduced to village in Africa, specifically Uganda. Immediately after seeing the lives they live, I knew I wanted to help. Growing this nonprofit has brought me so much joy by knowing I will be able to help all these beautiful women by providing things like clothes, toiletries, and feminine hygiene products. As time goes on I hope to expand the influence that Global Girls has not only in my town, but helping different communities around the world.

When you give, you’re giving more than money — you’re giving opportunity.

Across Uganda’s villages, every girl carries a dream — to go to school, to learn, to thrive.
